Lustrum Symposium

As 2022 is the lustrum year, this year’s Sigma Symposium will be all about polar opposites, with the theme "Opposites Attract!". In science, we tend to look for things and phenomena that are intuitively similar, and by doing so, we tend to miss a broader picture. We will change perspective and look for fascinating examples of polar opposites in nature such as interactions between bacteriophages and bacteria,  practical use of ferrofluids, and more. Additionally, our Master of Ceremony will be none other than dr. Luca Consoli!

The symposium will take place on the 12th of April 2022 in the Linnaeus Building (LIN 8), near the Faculty of Science of the Radboud University Nijmegen. During this day, a diverse selection of lectures will be given with a nice lunch in between. The day closes with an informal drink to which all visitors and lecturers are invited.
